An unused concrete rooftop turned into a productive green terrace — grape vines, herbs, seating, and smart irrigation for a family in the city.
The starting point
Limited space, weight restrictions, and harsh summer temperatures on an exposed rooftop with no existing planting.
Our approach
Lightweight planters, a pergola for shade, grape trellis along one wall, and raised beds for herbs and vegetables. Drip irrigation on a timer.
How we built it
Waterproofing check, planter installation, soil delivery, planting, and irrigation setup completed in six weeks.
The finished garden
A rooftop the family harvests from and relaxes on — green in the middle of the city, shared widely on social media for its practical beauty.
